Dear exhibitors, distinguished guests of the Halberstadt art biennial. As Deputy Mayor of the City of Halberstadt and a member of the board of the Kuratorium Stadtkultur Halberstadt e. V., I am delighted to welcome you all to the sixth MKH-Biennale.
Once again, St. Martini Church is becoming a unique inter- section between contemporary art and
public spaces. Here, the biennial-team and the participating artists are creating a place where
sophisticated, contemporary art can be experienced while also offering space for critical engagement
with a diverse range of themes.
I would like to extend my special thanks to all the artists whose dedicated work breathes life into
the MKH-Biennale and makes it possible in the first place.
During the event, you will encounter a wide range of contemporary artistic expressions and an
exploration of aspects of the recent past—from sculptures and paintings to a video installation and
the biennial ́s diverse accompanying program.
The city of Halberstadt has supported the MKH-Biennale as its patron since 2014. We are delighted that the biennal continues to create a space for encounters, exchange, and critical thinking.
My thanks go to all supporters—sponsors, donors, and the many volunteers—who have contributed to the existence and ongoing development of the 6th MKH-Biennale.
